Welcome to the world of the Northern Inuit Dog!

Are you looking to be owned by a northern breed puppy and you have researched all the options? Have you ever considered a Northern Inuit Dog?

The Northern Inuit Dog is a relatively young breed, the breed started in the late 1980s created from a variety of northern breed dogs, the German shepherd and some imported dogs. They are a loving and loyal family companion dog who are friendly and who have quirky characteristics. They like lounging on the sofa with their humans watching movies all day as well as going for long hikes exploring new “worlds”. Their quirkiness will make you laugh every day, and they are your best friend for life.

That being said, they are not for novice owners and they require a lot of consistency in training. They are the type of dog that will have your whole arm if you give them a finger. They are very intelligent and because of this get bored really quickly, therefore training has to be varied and most of all fun! Can have a high prey drive.

The breed is very versatile and can be found in a variety of careers, a few Northern Inuits are qualified service and therapy dogs. They can be found on agility courses, scootering and cani-crossing. When they put their intelligence to good use, the possibilities for their achievements are endless.
